Dobyns Casting Rods

The Dobyns Champion XP rods are the standard for sensitivity, strength, weight and balance! Champion Series rods feature proprietary high modulus graphite blanks, Fuji Tangle free K guides with SIC inserts, Kevlar wrapping, Fuji graphite reel seats and AA grade cork grips. Champion Series rods are light, strong, sensitive and perfectly balanced. 

We find these rods to be superior at casting both large and small swimbaits.  The handle, rear grip and fore grip are very comfortable.  One of the most noticeable aspects about the rod is the balance.  When paired up with most swimbait style reels, the rod isn't tip heavy, which is very common in longer rods.

The non-MT has a shorter rear handle section.
